The University of Malta has set up a new Faculty of Information and Communication Technology responsible for the areas of Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Communications and Computer Engineering, and of Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics. As from this year, the four year course B.Sc. IT Hons which was coordinated by the Board of Studies for IT, is being replaced by a 3year B.Sc.Hons ICT course with specializations in one of the following areas.
