Trier University Computer in Computer Engineering Resources Directory

    

The Faculty of Computer Science offers two degree courses: computer science and software technology, the latter of which is still in a trial phase. The Faculty also participates in the Englishspeaking Master course INFOTECH. 15 professors and 86 research assistants are involved in teaching the 1.100 students on these courses. Computer science can also be studied as a subsidiary subject to other courses. Furthermore, within the basic education, it is offered to students of subjects like business administration, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering as well as natural sciences. The focus of the Facultys teaching and research activities reflects the University of Stuttgarts emphasis on natural sciences and engineering. The Institute of Computer Science consists of the departments Computer Architecture, Computing Software, Dialogue Systems, Formal Concepts of Computer Science, Graphical Engineering Systems, Intelligent Systems, Programming Languages, Software Engineering as well as Theoretical Computer Science. The Institute of Parallel and Distributed HighPerformance Systems consists of the departments Applications of Parallel and Distributed Systems, Applied Computer Science Image Understanding, Distributed Systems, Integrated Systems Engineering and Large System Simulation.
